Lula Mae Pack age 92 of Clovis died Tuesday February 24, 2004 at Laural Ridge Healthcare in Clovis. She was born on March 12, 1911 in Ninnekah, Oklahoma to Jessie and Ada Mae Forsyth Ikard. She married Milton Pack on August 28, 1926 in Ninnekah, Oklahoma. She came to Curry County in 1937. She was a Nurse Aide in Melrose and at Golden Age Nursing Home in Clovis. She was a member of 16th and Pile Church of Christ and The Ones Club. She loved to quilt and sew.
She is survived by three sons, Howard L. Pack and wife Ginger of Melrose, New Mexico, Leroy Pack of Logan, New Mexico, and Jerry Pack and wife Sammie Joe of Amarillo, Texas. Three daughters, Janell McDaniel of Melrose, New Mexico, Joy Benton of Abilene, Texas, and Dona Adkins and husband Raymond of Clovis, New Mexico. Fifteen grandchildren Jana Alexander, Sharon Polk, Kayla Alexander, Jay Pack, Yolanda Fulgham, Donnie McDaniel, Kathy Welch, Darrell Benton, Brenda DeMartine, Lance Adkins, Sherry Rucker, Jerry Pack, Misty Pack, Kristie Pack and John David Pack. Twenty-nine great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, one sister, five brothers, one grandson Montey Benton, and two sons-in-law Taylor Benton and Lonnie McDaniel.
Services will be held at Muffley Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, February 28, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. Jim Gammon will be officiating. Burial will be in Melrose Cemetery. Pallbearers include Darrell Benton, Jay Pack, Richard Polk, Jerry Pack, Lance Adkins, Billy Rucker, and Donnie McDaniel.
